BankIslami, Pakistan's fastest growing Islamic Bank, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited to provide Takaful cover to BankIslami Auto Ijarah customers. According to the agreement, the Takaful cover would also be applicable for riots, acts of terrorism and natural disasters.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Hasan Aziz Bilgrami, CEO BankIslami, emphasized that the agreement will strengthen the relationship between BankIslami and Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited by providing takaful cover to BankIslami Auto Ijarah customers and it will also serve the mutual cause of providing Shari'ah complaint products to the masses.

CEO of Pak-Qatar General Takaful M. Vaqaruddin said that to provide the best possible service to the participants, the Pak-Qatar Takaful group has implemented a state-of-the-art I.T. system from Malaysia.

BankIslami is Pakistan's growing Islamic Bank. The Bank is on its way to be a 102 branch bank by December 2008. BankIslami has rapidly growing Shari'ah complaint products which are certified by a distinguished Shari'ah Supervisory Board headed by Justice (R) Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.
