JS Bank Sponsors 34th CAS Open Golf Championship – 4th March, 2015

JS Bank limited (JSBL) has sponsored 34th CAS Open Golf Championship at Airmen Golf Course and Recreational Park. In this event, members, golfers from various clubs and Pakistan Golf Federation participated. This event turned out to be a great success as around 350 players participated. The prize distribution ceremony was presided by the Vice Chief of the Air Staff.

JS Bank’s posts a strong result: Year on Year Three Times Increase in Earnings and EPS – 6 March, 2015

Karachi: JS Bank Limited (JSBL) announced its 2014 result posting a profit after tax of PKR 1,060.039 million in CY14 compared to PKR 351.283 million in CY13. Board of Directors of JS Bank in its meeting held on Tuesday February 24, 2015 approved the audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2014. Bank’s Earning Per Share (EPS) increased to PKR 0.99 for the year 2014 from PKR 0.33 in CY13. Bank’s Net Interest Income (NII) stood at PKR 3,854.040 million and non-markup income at PKR 2,590.161 million. JS Bank posted a profit before tax of PKR 1,608.225 million in CY14 compared to PKR 501.371 million in CY13.

The balance sheet registered a YoY growth of 56.7% to reach PKR 176,717 million as at December 31, 2014. Deposits increased to PKR 108,740 million as compared to PKR 80,916 million in the previous year, a YoY growth of 34.4%. Gross advances grew to PKR 58,765 million as compared to PKR 35,164 million in the previous year, a YoY growth of 67.1%.

Given that the bank has shown such robust performance in what has been a difficult time for the local economy, is testament to the prudent management and financial discipline at the bank. JS Bank is one of the fastest growing commercial banks in Pakistan, it has a large network of 238 branches across 122 cities of Pakistan with plans to expand its outreach with more branches nationwide.

Pakistan Wins International Wheelchair Cricket – 26 February, 2015

Pakistan’s wheelchair cricket team made history by beating the host Nepal in all 3 T-20 matches and won the International Wheelchair Cricket Winter Cup series. If anybody wants to take inspiration to play cricket then these players are the perfect role model for everyone in Pakistan. The team members were hosted at the JS Group’s Head office and their performance was widely appreciated.

Mr. Jahangir Siddiqui, Chairman JS Bank along with Mrs. Mahvash Siddiqui, Chairperson Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation (MJSF) commented on the occasion, it is our immense pleasure to have provided the specialized Walkabout Foundation wheelchairs to the Pakistan Cricket team as we strongly believe in giving back to the society.
The team’s excellent performance has been widely appreciated especially since this was the first time that the national wheelchair team has won this title.

Dawar, who led Pakistan to a 3-0 sweep of Nepal in the International Wheelchair Cricket Winter Cup Series, held in Kathmandu, appreciated Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation for supporting the cricket team. He stated, the specialized wheelchairs provided them with much more flexibility to perform to their best capabilities”.

MJSF in collaboration with US based Walkabout Foundation provided the wheelchairs for Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket team. Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation is also organizing a domestic cricket competition which will feature teams from 12 cities across Pakistan.
